Deliveries, Returns and Refunds

Local Orders - deliveries

We will deliver local orders personally to your door, usually on a Friday. You can check the Local Customers page to ensure we are  delivering to your area that week. You can also see there the Specials we'll be cooking for you.

If we are unable for any reason to deliver to you that day we will contact you immediately to organise alternatives

We do charge a delivery charge (to contribute to my petrol, and goodness knows it's pretty expensive right now!) but we hope that you are saved spending on your own petrol, parking and carrying heavy bags. We try to keep this charge to a minimum and you will find reductions according to order value.

Postal Deliveries

We aim always to dispatch goods within 24 hours of receiving your order (except at weekends). If we are unable to dispatch your order within 72 hours for any reason we will contact you and discuss alternatives. If suitable alternatives cannot be found we will issue a full refund.

Orders usually take 1 to 3 days to reach you following dispatch.  There have of course been some delays caused by industrial action and postal disruption.  We will always let you know of any delay as soon as we are aware of it.

Returns and Refunds

If you are at all dissatisfied with your purchase please contact us. We prefer always to deal personally with any issues you may have with our products.

If you'd like to cancel your order this doesn't affect your rights when we're at fault - for example if the items are faulty or described incorrectly.

Please do not return perishable foods.

Refund Requirements

The following criteria must be met to qualify for a refund:

Product is defective.  Our refund policy is valid for a period of 14 calendar days from the date of purchase.  If the period of 14 days has lapsed since the purchase, we can't unfortunately offer you a refund. Also in order to complete your refund, we require a receipt, purchase order or other proof of purchase.

To return an item, please contact us first. Returns can be mailed to: Borakis Ltd, 17 Horseshoe Close, Balsham, Cambridge, CB21 4EQ. We will only refund return postage costs in special circumstances. Please contact us to discuss. We always hope to resolve these matters to your satisfaction.
